A person who is most prone to anger is about three times more likely to have a heart attack or sudden cardiac death than someone who is the least anger-prone, according to a new study published in Circulation: Journal of the American Heart Association.

Imagine being able to control your anger and as a result decrease your chances of life threatening condition such as high blood pressure, heart attacks, and strokes. Anger is not something to kid around with. Did you know that it has been proven that unmanaged anger is linked to all of the following?

  • Headache
  • Digestion problems, such as abdominal pain
  • Insomnia
  • Increased anxiety
  • Depression
  • High blood pressure
  • Skin problems, such as eczema
  • Heart attack
  • Stroke
  • Increased rick of death.

In a recent study in the Annals of Family Medicine, researchers report anger appears to increase the risk of injury by up to eight times.

Researchers evaluated 200 consecutive stroke patients and found that an experience of intense anger was linked to a 14-fold increase in the risk of stroke within two hours of the negative emotion.

Compared with their peers, the angriest medical students were six times more likely to suffer heart attacks by 55 and three times more likely to develop any form of cardiovascular disease.

Program Highlights:

The first thing to do when confronted by an angry co-worker

How to keep yourself calm when provoked by an angry person

Ways to help co-workers sidestep emotions and concentrate on solutions

One thing you should always do before jumping into the middle of a conflict

Precise language to use in the heat of outbursts, hostility, and personal attacks

And It’s Not Like Any Other Program You’ve Ever Taken On Anger Management.

Why?

This Computer Based Training program allows you to work through 20 + hour of material in private. You can be honest with yourself because no one else is listening or watching. There is no peer pressure or other external influences. Plus it provides customized, personal feedback.

By combining text, animation, graphics, audio, narrations, video and most importantly interactions, the result is a fun and creative learning environment. Users are drawn into the learning experience by interacting with the material presented.

Some benefits of computer based training:

  1. Reduced Learning Time: More than 30 studies compiled from major Universities and Colleges in North America have found that interactive multimedia technologies reduce learning time requirements by an average of 50 percent.

  1. Reduced Cost: The primary costs of interactive multimedia instruction lie in design and production - not replication, distribution and delivery. Thus, the cost per student is reduced as more students use the same program.

  2. Instructional Consistency: Technology based instruction systems do not have bad days or get tired at the end of a long day.

  3. Privacy: With one-on-one systems, students are free to ask questions and explore areas that might cause embarrassment in group situations.

  4. Master of Learning: Unlike a normal classroom situation, an interactive multimedia system will not move onto new material until current material is mastered. This ensures that students have strong foundations for continued learning.

  5. Increased Retention: The process of interaction with material being studied provides a strong learning reinforcement that significantly increases content retention over time.

  6. Increased Safety: With interactive multimedia systems, students can explore potentially embarrassing subjects without risk.

  7. Increased Motivation: Interactive multimedia systems provide a level of responsive feedback and individual involvement that has proven to be highly motivational in both individual and classroom learning environments.

  8. Increased Access: Interactive multimedia systems can provide greater and more equal access to quality education and training.

  9. Learners Enjoy Interactive Training: Interactive multimedia systems allow learners to take greater control of - and hence, responsibility for their own learning process.

Studies have revealed that the more involved you are in the
learning process the faster you will learn and the more information you will retain! As the chart below illustrates, individuals retain the highest level of information when using interactive learning systems.

WHAT’S A RESOURCE LIKE THIS WORTH?

Compared to going to a therapist, you will save hundreds if not thousands for the same information.

Going to a therapist for anger would normally cost you around $800
(I should know, that’s what I charge!). And that’s just to cover the basics.

It’s not easy to find particularly laser-guided accurate information like this - SPECIFICALLY for dealing with anger. This isn’t some boiler-plate collection of answers.

Everything is explained in PLAIN English. Which means it’s dead-easy to understand. And it’s logically laid out. Not to mention everything is fully narrated so there isn’t even a need to read.

There are other resources out there retailing for over $100. Although these resources have some similar content that is where the similarities end.

Which is why “Anger Management - Taking Your First Steps towards dealing with anger. An interactive computer based training experienceis such a bargain at $9.95 + shipping.

That’s right, a fraction of what it’s really worth and what it cost me to put together. Why would I make it so affordable? Simply because my costs to deliver it to you are so low.

So I figure I’ll be able to offer this fantastic resource to more people. And make my investment back over time.

$9.95 is a drop in the ocean compared to the benefits of being able to finally control your anger.

No matter, it’s a bargain for you. And yes, I plan on raising the price from $9.95 to $59.95 very soon. Once I get a few more testimonials from satisfied customers, the price will increase. So you’ll want to be quick if you want to save some bucks.

$9.95 + shipping

Act now; this incredible low price offer will not last long.

And don’t worry, if for any reason you’re not happy with the content, you have a complete guarantee to protect your investment.

Kids and I are scared of him when he explodes.

You could try explaining to him just what the effect is that his 'explosions' have on you and the children. And, 'is that what he wants'? For these individuals to 'fear him'?

If you can get to counselling yourself, then take advantage of this and look for all ways and means to help your situation.

Take care.
Sash.

I watched the Nightly News segment tonight about those patients in Serbia which saddened and angered me. However, it is not surprising to see people in such conditions. Something needs to be done immediately for the dignity and livelihood of those people.
Here is the link: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21790870/#help

Bloody horrendous and thats putting it mildly. It angers and disgust me, watching the video had me in tears.

While money is certainly needed, they also need the qualified staff and resources to ensure that these people are given the care they are due, as human beings.

Sadly it was not all that long ago that many disabled people in USA, UK & Aussie etc were treated the same, in the early 70's through to the mid 80's and beyond, saw many people with disabilities were de-institutionalized, and bought into the community.

Jessica is my 6 year old daughter, who has a lot of angry feelings. She has been through severe neglect, by her father, foster care, returned to the same situation she was removed from, so I was forced to remove her from her fathers care. On top of that her brother was diagnosed with PDD-NOS. I feel that during her stay in foster care she was brushed aside, because of her brothers diagnoses. We are staying at a shelter for women and she seems to become angerier, and more resentfull everyday. She is begining therapy, and I do everything I can to help her but I am afraid that if I can't help her learn to deal with her anger soon she will rebell even more. So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

She SEEMS to become angrier every day, but that doesn't mean that her anger is increasing, necessarily. I believe it likely that, as her situation is improving, and as she is beginning therapy, that she's SHOWING her anger more openly.

This may not be something to be worried about, so much as the initial steps toward healing.

Ask her therapist to discuss this with you: should I be worried, what do you suggest I do?

I say the best thing you can do is to acknowledge her anger, let her express it non-violently, and allow her the emotional space to figure out how to deal with it.

I'm not an expert, have no formal training, no license, nada. I'm just someone who's read and thought about this stuff a lot. Just so you know.

He is like jekyl and hyde with mood swings. he is very quiet, unless angered, and he trusts no one. I almost can't handle it anymore. He says there is nothing wrong with him and he does not need any damn pills to make it through life.

That's a difficult position to be in. I would suggest that instead of pointing out to him that "he" has a problem, suggest that there is a problem between you both, and that you think you should try marriage counseling. It's at those sessions that you will both open up and he'll see he has some issues, at least this way he doesn't feel so offended and you're by his side and you can learn to react to him in a way to help him change or realize his behavior before acting on it.

Good luck.

My son that is 15 months old, gets mad, throws his toys, cries, has a hissy fit if he can't figure something out on his first try. It's very frustrating to me and him.

Can anyone else relate to this and is this normal for boys?

Everything you've just said is perfectly normal for toddlers, boys or girls. 15 months is pretty early, but he's obviously just going through his toddler stage early on. You'll probably find that he'll settle down a bit earlier than other children do, and he'll be fine. Just work on redirecting him to better ways of expressing himself, eg, "show mummy want you want to do, lets push this car along here".
He'll get the hang of it soon, and as his language develops he will be able to find words for things, and gain more understanding, then a lot of the 'tantrum' behaviour lessens. Hang in there!

I need advice, support and help before stress and anger kills me !! I've been married for a few years and my husband and I had to be apart for a couple of them (as we were in different countries). He's very loving, caring and trustworthy, however after we've been living together here we've argue almost every day. For some reason I feel I don't share chemistry with him, we don't see eye to eye on matters and such. We want to work on our marriage as it's worth saving. We've both great people at heart, but have ended up arguing and shouting at each other. It is soo hard for me to be calm if he says something that totally doesn't make sense to me, I just shout back in retaliation and my tone always suggests disrespect to him. He travels, so these arguments are on the phone or email. He comes home during the weekends. I find myself just shouting with anger when I get enraged. Want to stop this as we both want peace. Therapy might be expensive and not my first solution…Please advise!

You sound like I was. I still shout every once in a while but it is MUCH less.

I have adopted breathing techniques to help me slow down. When the other person is talking, take long slow breaths. After they finish talking, and you must wait until they do(this is very hard for me), say, "ok" or some other affirmation that they spoke, take another deep breath and then speak.

Practicing meditation daily for 30 minutes or more will help this. It gets you into the right mode for handling the pressure.

Of course, this may not be your cup of tea.

There are also many anger management books that I have looked at. Find one right for you at Amazon.com or go to a local bookstore. I find it better if I go to the store. Then I can read some of the book and drink cappucino!

Good luck, you can beat it.

Yep. And thirty years ago it would have been provided by Tommy Smith and Norman Hunter. Now they WERE hard men. Put Shrek up agaist either one of them and he would have been crying all the way back to his Everton brothels.

Think about it! Children feel anger, frustration, and pain, but they return to their happy selves pretty quickly. As adults, we do not do this as easily. In fact, we tend to hold on to anger, pain, and even grudges against those who have wronged us. Why are we not as resilient as we were when we were children?

Because they haven't had years of it so it's easier to wash off their backs.
Also, when a kid gets upset, it's usually over something trivial like not getting the last cookie, as opposed to being an adult & realising your doing to die alone lol
A bit dramatic but you get my point!
